Summary: This trek is an extension of the Jhomolhari base camp trek. It offers diverse flora and fauna, including an opportunity to see the blue sheep and the endemic Takin (Budorcas taxicolor), Bhutan’s National Animal. In this medium-hard grade trek we will cross at least six high passes (close to 5000m) and several smaller ones. The Laya Gasa trek is widely regarded as the most beautiful of all the treks in Bhutan. Pack ponies are arranged to carry your gear and cooks will prepare our meals, allowing you to focus on enjoying the stunning views.
